Orientation:
This program allows one to enter statistical information obtained from multiple regression output in order to compute the equations that yield cell means necessary for the graphical display of statistical interactions. This application is designed to ease the process of creating two types of figures frequently used by researchers to display statistical interactions. The two types of figures are for a Continuous Moderator (3 x 3 table) and for a Categorical Moderator (3 X 2 table, where the second term designates two levels of a categorical variable).

Several interface menus will lead you through the process of entering data and creating figures. These figures are useful for interpreting the theoretical meaning of the obtained statistical interaction. The present version of the internet programme creates a figure that is saveable as a .jpeg file. This may suffice for many users, but please note that this end-product is not easily modifiable. If you wish to create a figure that can be modified (change titles, fonts, orientation, size, etc.), then you may wish to download from this site the Excel-based ModGraph programme which produces figures that are easily modifiable within the Microsoft suite of software (i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

For a thorough description of the programme, please refer to the INSTRUCTIONS page of this site.

To enter data for the continuous data figure, please explore the CONTINUOUS MODERATOR portion of this site.

To enter data for the categorical data figure, please explore the CATEGORICAL MODERATOR portion of this site.
